The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards will premier live tonight on NBC from 8:00-11:00 p.m. (EST) from the Beverly Hilton Hotel hosted again by Ricky Gervais. If you are unfortunate for some reason to not have TV, I’ll update you on the events and the winners and give you my opinion if that is anything of value. Josh Duhamel, Katie Holmes, and Blair Underwood announced the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s 25 categories and their nominees for the 68th Annual Golden Globes on December 14 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. This news comes late, but hey, I was lazy busy. Most of these don’t come as too much of a shock other than The Tourist, which I never would have guessed was a Comedy or Musical. Go figure. I won’t get into the nitty gritty about how everyone tosses out the HFPA’s opinion (Avatar over the Hurt Locker), but I can accept the ceremony for its entertainment value and nothing further.

It’s been a long road to the Globes this year. With so many incredible films and breaking moments in cinema, it is hard to just pick one winner. The 67th Golden Globe Awards will be telecast live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California TONIGHT, Sunday, January 17, 2010 by NBC with the pre-show starting at 6pm CST and the awards ceremony is from 7pm-10pm CST. The ceremonies will be hosted by Ricky Gervais,and are being broadcast live for the first time. I will be giving you an updated winner’s list as they are announced tonight.
The Golden Globe Awards are presented annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) to recognize outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry, both domestic and foreign, and to focus wide public attention upon the best in motion pictures and television.
