Since Walt Disney purchased LucasFilm and all of its properties late last year, the main focus has been on the new Star Wars trilogy with J.J. Abrams. The acquisition is now reaching the video game world at LucasArts, where it was announced this week that the company will no longer be a game developer but merely just a licenser. Continue reading

Neato: Animation Color Wheel

You meet a lot of strange and colorful individuals through all different kinds of animated features and shows. The genius minds over at Slate.com decided to create an amazing spectrum of color utilizing various different animated characters throughout time in honor of The Smurfs releasing this past weekend. There are so many iconic figures in this wheel that it brings way too much nostalgia that I might strike a tear. Doubtful since I removed my tear ducts in a surgery last fall. Fantastic Disney Princess Cosplayers

I highly admire what lengths people go to fully commit to cosplaying (ex. Jessica Nigri). Not only are these people die-hard fans, but they love what they do and give off such a great vibe of energy. These lovely ladies have got the cosplaying art down to a science. Cinderella, Snow White and Belle are the funniest in this picture, but really this picture is just fabulously epic. Look after the jump for an extra special guest with the lovely Disney Princesses!

TeeHee: Hipsters Are Invading the Magic Kingdom

I despise hipsters as much as the next person, but these Disney Princess Hipsters are absolutely hilarious. None of the Disney Princesses are safe when it comes to Internet memes. Aurora, Ariel, Belle, and all the rest can be seen expressing their hipster views after the jump with a guest appearance by Iago!

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Teaser Trailer

Franchise nostalgia start your engines. Pirates of the Caribbean has not seen a movie since 2007 and many believed that the franchise would never see another movie with all of the mixed emotions of the second and third movies. I, myself, find them easily acceptable, but nothing too amazing praise about. The first one will always hold a place in my heart. But let’s talk about this teaser trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which you can watch after the jump and look for the movie May 20, 2011! [Update 1/2: I just nabbed over 150 screenshots of the trailer too!]

Avengers! Assemble!

This past Saturday, July 24, at the San Diego Comic-Con, shall be marked as one of the most epic gatherings for a film collaboration in geek history. The full major cast of The Avengers appeared on stage at the end of the Marvel Studios panel with confirmation of Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk and Joss Whedon as the director. Of course we knew of Joss Whedon directing, but this is an official confirmation along with the rumors going around about Renner and Ruffalo. As you might wonder, what happened to Edward Norton? Norton will not be reprising his role due to conflicting interests of Marvel Studios, but Norton left fans a note claiming it was not as bitter as Kevin Feige made it out to be. But all things aside, check out the footage from Comic-Con of the announcements of the cast and the fanboys/girls going crazy after the break!

The Avengers comes out in the Summer of 2012!
