The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise has been passed around to various studios more times than a party favor at a Snoop Dogg concert, which has been quite difficult for many of the reiterations to keep any sort of continuity. Finding a home at Twisted Pictures, Texas Chainsaw 3D acts as a straight sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original. Betting it all on a semi-twist ending to redirect the timeline, TC3D is riddled with bad writing, weak scares, and is a pathetic attempt of 3D. Continue reading

Now that we have survived the Mayan apocalypse, 2013 looks very promising as to what we will see in theaters this year. With Phase 2 of Marvel Studios’ movie timeline about to begin, The Hunger Games proving successful, and The Twilight Saga – hopefully – finally over, 2013 should be a great year to go to the cinema. 2012 was quite an interesting year at the cinema. While such films as Magic Mike and Pitch Perfect took audiences by surprise, there were many that did not fulfill our expectations, like The Dark Knight Rises. It’s been a while since we’ve had the Apatow bunch back in action together again. And thanks to James Franco and Seth Rogen, these two fine gentlemen have been kind enough to release a quick teaser for their movie, This Is The End, just in case the Mayans were right.
