Hitting the nostalgia button, I engage in the viewing of this wonderfully edited video utilizing Bill Waterson’s Calvin and Hobbes comic and the soundtrack of the trailer to David Fincher’s Fight Club. I loved this comic when I was a young lad and this video (via Gorilla Mask) is a great mash-up of two giants of different mediums that have been closely related in a previous theory. Check it out after the jump!

A Brief History of Product Placement in Cinema
Being an advertising grad, I tend to notice product placement perhaps a little more than the average bear, but FilmDrunk.com also has a product placement radar. The fine folks at FilmDrunk created a great little video montage depicting a brief history of product placement from the beginning to the present state of things in movies today. Watch the video after the break.
TeeHee: Dog Poop, Eggs, and Bill Murray
You might be asking yourself how these instances collaborate with each other? They don’t, but they do have a funny image to correlate with each item. Let the hilarity ensure after the jump!

Great Commercials You Might Have Missed In 2010
In a world where we try to take advantage of commercial skipping devices, 2010 proved to be the year of great viral marketing ads and some seriously funny commercials that you couldn’t stop talking about. Isaiah Mustafa rocked the Old Spice commercials thanks to ad agency Weiden and Kennedy and the Geico commercials went full steam ahead with their double entaundre “Rhetorical Questions” campaign (Maxwell wee wee wee’d all the way home). But I found a few ads you might have missed in 2010. Check them out after the jump!
T-He: Avengers Assemble! Web Series
A great new Web series has hit the Interwebs in the form of the Avengers from Marvel, Avengers Assemble! We join Iron Man, Thor, Wasp, Wolverine, Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Captain America, and Hulk as they take on today’s challenges of unemployment, healthcare, the BP oil spill, and more! These minisodes are hilarious and they have about seven episodes so far. You can catch their videos on their YouTube Channel, but you can also watch the first six after the break!
Michael Bay Delivers Another Victoria’s Secret Holiday Ad, Surprisingly With No Explosions
Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Chanel Iman, Erin Heatherton, Katsia Zingarevich, Lily Aldridge, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley join director Michael Bay in the city of Chicago to strut their stuff. This 90-second spot premiered at the 2010 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show which aired last week. The man sure knows how to make in your face, balls to the wall, fast-paced action, and he makes no exceptions with his ads either. Sleek, clean, and flashy, this Victoria’s Secret commercial leaves nothing to the imagination. Watch the commercial spot after the break!
Where Was A ‘Mad Men’ Course When I Went to School?
No, but seriously why did I go to a school that offered nothing, but boring stereotypical classes that offered very little insight into something remotely attention worthy and enjoyable? The Huffington Post reports that Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois will now be offering a consumerism studies class on the hit television series, Mad Men.
Kids Are Treated to Mega Gore Not ‘Megamind’
On average, when I go into a movie, I am always double checking and over worrying that I went into the wrong theater. Unfortunately for a few parents who thought they were taking their kids to see Megamind were treated with something quite unexpected. According to WDHD-TV, those who attended the Showcase Cinemas in Revere, Massachusetts were accidentally screened Saw 3D for a few minutes, which opens up with some of the ending moments of Saw and some addition footage with quite a lot of gore.
Now this story can go in one of two ways. If you are a parent you could be horribly outraged, but if you are anyone else I am sure your reaction is BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
T-He: Bundaberg Rum – Favourable Lie
Bundaberg Rum have chosen to go the obscure and strange route to attract their customers. Much like Starburst and Oldspice, Bundaberg Rum have created a very strange, but hilarious advertisement promoting their product. Judging from this post’s picture you could only imagine where this ad will lead, but I assure you that your guess will be quite off. Catch the hilarious video after the break!
Huzzah!
