Better known as the voice of Lois Griffin on Family Guy these days, Alex Borstein has returned to her early days as THE Ms. Swan. The ex-MadTV star has written and produced an awesome parody of 2010’s classic Black Swan. What is a Foley you ask? Well a foley is a person who is in charge of imagining the elements that are made up of a sound to replicate it for actions in film. You’d never think that they would have to recreate all of the sounds you hear when you are watching a movie, but in fact, most of the sounds you hear are not recorded while filming the actors. Although it may have been defeated at the Oscars, which was an upset in my opinion, Pixar’s Day & Night, directed by Teddy Newsom, was an absolute joy to watch. It’s amazing and uncanny how ingenious these people are. Day & Night just mixes intelligent story making with beautiful animation. You can watch the entire short animated film after the break!
