Gamers and moviegoers rejoice! The Last of Us, one of 2013’s most critically acclaimed and celebrated PlayStation 3 games of all time, has officially received the green light for a live action movie adaptation. No release date has been announced yet, but Screen Gems has signed on to distribute the iflm with the creative director of the game, Neil Druckmann, writing the screenplay. Lionsgate’s Home Entertainment has upped the ante and partnered with Walmarts across the nation to bring fans tributes from the 75th Annual Hunger Games. Cast members such as Willow Shields (Primrose Everdeen) and Lynn Cohen (Mags from District 4) from the newest movie will be visiting stores nationwide on Thursday, March 6 for the home video release. RIP Harold Ramis (1944-2014)

Today we lose a comedy legend, Harold Ramis, who passed away this morning at the age of 69 due to a rare autoimmune disease. Many may familiarize Harold Ramis as Egon Spengler from 1984’s Ghostbusters, but he was also a husband, father, and mentor. Ramis’ work can also be recognized behind the camera as a writer and director for films such as Analyze This, Groundhog Day, Meatballs, Caddyshack, Stripes, National Lampoon’s Vacation and Animal House. He was an incredible filmmaker with a keen eye for comedy who got his start as a Second City performer; his work will live through the ages. Continue reading
