With Oscar looming its golden head right around the corner, it’s only tradition to predict who is going to win the 86th Annual Academy Awards. This morning Thor Chris Hemsworth and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences president, Cheryl Boone Isaacs, were nice enough to wake up at the butt crack of dawn to announce the nominees for the 86th Annual Academy Awards. While there were many that stood out as “duh” nominations, like American Hustle and Gravity earning ten nominations and12 Years a Slave walking away with nine, there were snubs that actually surprised me this year. It can’t be stated enough, 2013 was an amazing year for entertainment. Of course there were many stinkers and sadly a handful of disappointments, but overall it was an entertaining year if you like movies. I’ve given you the films that had surprised me, and now I am here to present my top 10 favorites of 2013.
