Spielberg’s ‘Lincoln’ First Look and Poster

Abraham Lincoln Daniel Day Lewis

Last year, Steven Spielberg ended on a medium note. War Horse did exceptionally well with audiences while The Adventures of Tintin could have seen better days domestically. Now, Mr. Spielberg is heading back further in time to bring us the tale of Abraham Lincoln. There will be no vampires in this version, and hopefully no crystal skulls, but we can assume there will be an astounding performance by Daniel Day-Lewis. (P.S. the header picture is a fake.) Read on to check out the first poster and image from Lincoln. Continue reading

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Return to Television this September

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2012

Never in my life would I believe my eyes when I found out that Jason Biggs, the one we all know as the pie molester from American Pie, would be the voice of the leader of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Back in my hey day, TMNT was my go to cartoon, next to The Real Ghostbuters, Transformers, and of course 90s Nickelodeon. Revitalizing the franchise for the umpteenth time, the turtles are back in an all new CG-animated series on Nickelodeon. Continue reading

Now that the American Horror Story: Asylum marketing has begun, horror fans are beginning to wonder what all these teasers mean? Earlier we saw three short Asylum promos, “Special Delivery,” “Blue Coat,” and “Hydrobath.” And now three more teasers have graced the Interwebs and have begun to crank up the freak factor. These newer ones are a bit more unsettling and I love it. Check out the “White Rose,” “Ascend,” and “Glass Prison” teasers after the jump. Continue reading

Three Creepy Teasers for ‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ Surface

American Horror Story Asylum Teasers

Those anticipating the arrival of American Horror Story: Asylum have been given a treat on the Internets this week as multiple promo teasers have revealed themselves with terrific disturbing imagery. It was last season’s marketing that got me to become a believer, and it appears to be working again. Although I was left quite conflicted by the first season, my faith has been peeking out of the shadows, anxiously awaiting to see how ridiculous American Horror Story: Asylum will play out.  Continue reading

‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ Character and Story Teases

American Horro Story Asylum

The first time I heard about American Horror Story, I was more excited about the development of this project than Leatherface creating a new mask. When the series debuted on FX last year I had hope, but as the show progressed that hope turned to doubt, confusion, anger, and finally at the end, mediocre content.

After American Horror Story was approved for more seasons I found myself in a furious uproar, especially if we were to continue with the bi-polar, unrelatable Harmon family. Eventually announced as a mini-series, meaning we would see a different story each season, I was please to hear we would get a fresh new start. This new beginning takes us into the deepest parts of a 1960’s insane asylum. Continue reading

Retro Review: The Dark Knight

film review

When it comes to an epic film series, you may have a strong case in stating that the second film is the strongest. The Empire Strikes Back, T2: Judgement Day, X2: X-Men United, Spider-Man 2, Aliens, and The GodfatherPart 2 just to name a few. And The Dark Knight is no different. Taking a look back at the film that single-handedly put Christopher Nolan in the spotlight and paved the way for The Dark Knight Rises. After four years of its release, I review The Dark Knight. There comes a time when one video games comes along and revitalizes the industry, breaking through your every day clutter of the same old recycled crap. South Park: The Stick of Truth may reach that level and more with gamers on the floor in laughing in hysteria. Continue reading

‘Silent Hill: Revelation 3D’ Trailer, Poster, and Screenshots

Silent Hill Revelation 3D Trailer

Now I’ve never played any of the games relating to the Silent Hill franchise, but I have seen the first movie adaptation that released in 2006. What I like about this series is that it goes beyond horror; there is something more to it  than just a simple haunting or a serial killer chasing down teens. Above all, it has some pretty horrifying imagery. Check out the first full-length trailer for Silent Hill: Revelation 3D after the jump. Continue reading
