An amazing announcement was made this past weekend as Japan, in a partnership with Adidas, revealed that their mascots for the 2014 FIFA World Cup would be Pikachu and 10 other Pokémon. Alas, Indiana Comic-Con has come and gone. The promoters behind the Tampa Bay Comic Con, Orlando Comic Expo, and Nashville Comic Expo were kind enough to sweep through Indianapolis, IN and bring Hoosiers a comic convention of colossal proportions. Amidst the brutal weather the Midwest has seen this winter, Indiana Comic-Con, held March 14-16, 2014, was a HUGE success, managing to sell-out completely March 15th. Mondo is ressurecting the movie poster game, and invaded SXSW 2014 this year with their own Disney inspired art gallery entitled “Nothing’s Impossible.” In collaboration with Oh My Disney, Mondo worked with such artists as Olly Moss, Dave Perillo, Jeff Soto, Tom Whalen, and more to come up with this one of a kind experience for festival attendees. Last night’s 86th Annual Academy Awards, held inside the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, brought together the biggest names in cinema for the glitziest night of the year. While the excitement inside was placed on who would win Ocsar gold, all eyes were focused on the stars dressed to the nines on the red carpet prior to the big show.
