Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes Demo Screenshot 9

PAX Prime 2012 may be two weeks behind us, but Hideo Kojima’s announcement of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes is still stuck on my mind. This new entry into the Metal Gear Solid franchise is vastly different from anything we’ve seen thus far and looks to open up the world, literally, in ways we never thought the series would go. After the jump check out an incredible demo moderated by industry veteran Geoff Keighley. Continue reading

Andrew McMahon Announces the Final Performance of Jack’s Mannequin

Dear Jack Event 2012 Jack's Mannequin

Personally, one of my favorite musicians, Andrew McMahon (frontman of Something Corporate), has announced the end of Jack’s Mannequin. As this may rock the foundations of pop punk culture as we know it, the piano rock group will not go without a fond farewell to their fans. The Third Annual Dear Jack Benefit will be hosted at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles with one unannounced show to follow due to fast selling pre-sale tickets. Continue reading

Ragú is the Cure for a ‘Long Day of Childhood’

Ragu Long Day of Childhood Parents Bedroom

While watching the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, one of the most surprisingly hilarious and racy commercials aired that featured a little boy walking in on his parents, as we as the viewers are to assume are bumping uglies. When they coined the term, “sex sells,” I’m not exactly sure pasta sauce was ever considered.

Ragú, one of the many brands under Unilever Food’s supervision, took a big leap of faith to debut this commercial, especially during such a monumental event like the Olympics. The “Long Day of Childhood” campaign composed by the BFG 9000 agency (Barton F. Graf 9000) – although his name creates BFG, I’m sure he thought he was clever referencing the video game Doom – sparked major controversy, but I consider it one of the best commercials ever. The Kia Soul Hamsters Bring Down the House

Kia Soul Hamsters Breaking Dancing

I love these damn anthropormorphic hamsters that it just drives me insane. Perhaps it’s because these commercials are just so awesome or maybe it’s because my mother told me when I was seven that my pet hamster “ran away” and I envision he turned into a break dancing brand mascot? Either way, what Kia Motors is doing for the Soul is just a wonderful thing right here. It’s been a year since we last saw these guys, let’s see what they’re up to now. Continue reading

Must Watch ‘Breaking Bad’ Fan Tribute: The Journey of Walter White

The Journey of Walter White Breaking Bad Fan Tribute

There comes a time when all pilgrims must reach the end of their journey. We are only eight, EIGHT episodes away until the Breaking Bad saga is complete. It’s been a long, hard journey for not just the characters of the story, but the fans as well who have followed the incredibly insane hijinks of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. One fan has created the most epic of epic retrospective videos that focus on the life of Walter White and his transformation from bumbling chemistry teacher to the great Heisenberg. Continue reading

‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ Remains on the Offensive with New Teaser Trailers

American Horror Story Asylum Hellevator

Sixteen! We have now reached sixteen teaser trailers for American Horror Story: Asylum, not including the two character teasers. This madness has to be stopped! Seriously. Yes, these newest teasers, “Hellevator,” “Slipping,” and “Veiled” are a lot better than the last five, but has FX ever heard of the phrase, “too much of a good thing”? I honestly was joking about promoting a new teaser until the second season premiered, which would be over 30 teasers in all, but the creators behind the show seem to be doing just that. Oh and did I mention, we have been given a new character poster as well! Take a gander at the new teasers after the jump. Continue reading
