On the last day of Comic-Con 2013, Sunday, July 21, it’s all about television. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, catch up with the stars of Community on their big win to a 5th season, and hear from the stars of Breaking Bad before their final eight episodes. Other panel highlights include Son of Anarchy, Harry Potter, Under the Dome, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and more. The storm is calming down, but not without a good show. Check out the full schedule of panels for the final day of SDCC after the jump. Continue reading

Comic-Con 2012 Cosplay Gallery

Cosplay, the quintessential element to any successful Comic-Con. For some, cosplaying can be fun. Others it is their job. And to many it is expression of who they are, an art form. It is a treat for attendees no matter how you look at it. I highly enjoyed seeing all of the cosplayers and only wish that I had half the creativity they had. After the jump check out all of the pictures I took of some of the best cosplaying I encountered during Comic-Con 2012! Continue reading

Artist d.r3sto on Flickr has developed a great concept here. Dinosaurs + Marvel Superheroes = Epic Win. These are brilliantly drawn/created and show vivid imagination. His account says that prints are coming soon so be sure to stop by when they are available to pick them up. You can check out the whole gallery after the break!
Matthew Vaughn Releases Two Great Photos of Magneto and Professor X

Unbeknownst to the average joe, or probably many people, Matthew Vaughn didn’t intentionally want that group shot of the X-Men from First Class released nor did he have any knowledge of its origin. Luckily, for /Film and Peter Sciretta, he got an exclusive phone interview with the director and received two great images of the main characters themselves, James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr, WITH HELMET! Check them out after the break!
X-Men: First Class Teaser Poster

Darren Aronofsky Titles His Wolverine Non-Sequlel Movie
Jackman Confirms Aronofsky for Wolverine 2
Yesterday, I reported on SoundonSight that locations were being scouted with the possibility of Darren Aronofsky about 90% confirmed to direct. Today, Vulture has released a conversation held with Hugh Jackman at Elton John’s Enduring Vision gala last night stating that Aronofsky is confirmed to direct.
When Worlds Collide: Futurama Meets The X-Men

GottaBeCarl, on DeviantArt, created a unique take on clashing two big properties, X-Men and Futurama, into a great artistic display of nerdgasm.
He notes, “A friend of mine suggested one day that it would be cool to see the characters of Futurama as X-Men and so I drew him Fry as Cyclops. For some reason I couldn’t just stop there…and what came of it was a pretty extensive illustration with some of the most obscure characters from both the X-Men and Futurama universes.”
