Saturday’s Schedule for The San Diego Comic-Con 2011

If you ever wanted to let your geek flag fly high and proud than Saturday is your day! On Satruday, the San Diego Comic-Con will house a full array of anything you could ever ask for in a convention. From discussions on the future of comics to the inspirational words of Joss Whedon, this day is your day. You can learn how to draw in one room and learn about the future of Avatar: The Legend of Korra in another. Panels will discus videogames, anime, manga, steampunk, and so much more. I’m still really really pissed I wasn’t able to get a badge for this thing.

The ever so infamous Hall H will be graced by the presence of FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA as he presents his panel on his new film TWIXT! How ridiculous is that?! Unfortunately the bigger guns like The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, and Superman: Man of Steel are not making a big presence, if any, at the con, but you will be getting previews of Snow White and the Huntsmen, Dorothy of Oz, Knights of Badassdom, and Immortals. Even Kevin Smith will be in Hall H.

So check out the entire line-up for Saturday after the jump and be sure to check out the schedules for Thursday and Friday too!

Your 2011 Comic-Con Schedule for Friday

Thankfully there will be no Rebecca Black this Friday (she’s still cool to make fun of these days right?) Anyways… this Friday schedule is a bit more exciting than Thursday will be. I think one of the biggest panels this day will be for Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-man. It’s been almost 5 years since we’ve last seen the infamous web-slinger and with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone at the panel it should be a good show. A lot of other smaller films will be in the line-up too, including 30 Minutes or Less, Underworld 4, Fright Night, and Ghost Rider 2. For the entire Friday schedule at the San Diego Comic-Con be sure to view it after the jump!

Read Each Harry Potter Book As An Awesome Comic Strip

I find it always fascinating when someone takes a piece of film, literature, television or a videogame and turn them into art. Ms. Lucy Knisely was artistically brilliant enough to take on the entire Harry Potter literature. She transformed every book into a giant comic strip for a poster that you can view on her LiveJournal. If you think she has made a masterpiece than by all means donate to her art. She has done something great here. You can also view all of the books separately in comic strip form after the jump!

My Thoughts on E3 2011 Day 1

Videogaming has always come second nature to me whether it involved sports, FPSs, RPGs, action, and all the rest. I have always been fond of the videogaming industry and this year I was able to catch all of the major announcements from Microsoft, Ubisoft, EA, and Sony today thanks to the lovely people at G4. Many big surprises and some disappointments. Mostly, I’ve found this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo is somewhat average, thus far. I don’t own a Playstation 3 or an XBOX 360, but a lot of games they showed today really made me want to buy them, but nothing huge has struck my fancy. Read on and see what I thought of today’s events.

First Look: Tom Hardy as Bane in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

Let The Dark Knight Rises viral marketing begin!!! Much have I anticipated the long arrival of the next viral marketing campaign for Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film. This first image of the villain Bane, one of the many villains in the upcoming film, is the first of many incidents we will hopefully be given to explore the world of Gotham city! Casting Tom Hardy is one thing, but casting him as a villain should be a spectacle to behold, especially with Nolan at the helm. Go after the jump to see how it all got discovered!

May The Brands Be With You

Mixing nerd culture into brands is always a fun treat to stumble upon and Barn Bocock has created some great logos integrating the Star Wars universe into some very recognizable brand logos. You can check out his website, HowToCarveRoastUnicorn and his Blog to venture into the mind of the artist. You can also purchase these images as T-shirts at his RedBubble Store. CDC Teaches Zombie Apocalypse 101

Who knew that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) had a sense of humor? With multiple threats of the end of the world, including 2012 and the crazy Harold Camping, many believe that they should start stocking up for a possible zombie apocalypse. They have a lot of precautions to stock up on water, food, and first aid, but there is nothing about arming yourself for self-defense. I know that if there was a zombie outbreak that I would head to the nearest gun store or Wal-Mart to adequately stock up on essential armaments, Gatorade, and Spaghetti-O’s! If you feel that you should listen to what the government feels you should do in a supposed zombie shenanigans, check out the CDC website for more info!

TeeHee: Ultimate Tease for a Talking Dog

If our pets could speak, what do you think they would say back? Most people probably talk to their animals expecting a response, but YouTube user klaatu42 has put himself up to the task to create awesome videos to showcase how our pets would respond to us in various situations. This poor pup gets teased by bacon and you almost have to feel sorry for the poor fella. Find out how the conversation goes after the jump when the the little guy talks back! And be sure to check out klaatu42 many other videos on his channel, you won’t be sorry.
