And so it begins. Comic-Con 2013 is upon us and it has taken San Diego by storm. Preview Night of SDCC started at 6pm this evening and already there were lines leading out of the convention center. The streets of the Gaslamp Quarter were paved with attendees and tourists alike, taking in the sights before the madness begins tomorrow. Comic-Con 2013: Preview Night Panel Schedule
Comic-Con 2013 begins Wednesday, July 17 at 6 pm with Preview Night. Wednesday is not your typical SDCC zoo, but for those looking to seek information regarding upcoming shows on The CW and Fox, Preview Night will be a good night to hit up. Almost Human, The 100, The Originals, and The Tomorrow People will be making their big world premiere debuts in the convention center, while anime fans can expect fun and excitement at the Marriott next door. Complete Party Guide to San Diego Comic-Con 2013
After waiting all day in lines, bumping elbows with fellow nerds, and walking around for a better part of the day, Comic-Con does not end when the sun sets. There are many fantastic parties where you may run into various celebrities, partake in food and drink, and obtain a lot of swag. Not only do these parties make the convention more enjoyable, but they make it unforgettable (depending on how much you drink). A number of these parties do require an RSVP or an invite, but there are a good amount that are still open to the public for free or at a minor cost. Costume Designers Guild to Honor Best Dressed at Comic-Con 2013 During Masquerade Ball
Going on their eighth consecutive year, the Costume Designers Guild (Local 892) of the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees will be attending Comic-Con 2013. With panels on both Friday and Saturday, the CDG is expected to have a greater presence than ever before, featuring top costume designers and illustrators from film and television. MTV Geekend to Storm Comic-Con 2013 with Teen Wolf and More
MTV is returning for its fourth year at San Diego Comic-Con with their annual Geekend. Not only is MTV planning a full assault on attendees with Teen Wolf, MTV2 is also invading the most celebrated pop culture convention with a “Party in the Park,” Thursday, July 18. The ex-music television station will also air a special one-hour Guy Code episode honoring the best in movies and TV that encompass the SDCC world.
