Comic-Con 2012: Preview Night Schedule

Comic Con 2012 Preview Night

Tis the night before the night before Comic-Con 2012. There has already been one tragic death of a Twihard, and let’s hope we won’t see any instances that escalate to that level of madness. (We all remember the pen stabbing of 2010.) But I digress. Festivities begin tomorrow night with sneak peaks of the convention before the big show. Preview night can get a bit crazy, and there are a few TV pilots that will air screenings as a special treat.  Continue reading

I’m Going to E3 2012!

E3 2012

Moving to San Diego has its advantages. Writing for Game Rant, I have recently obtained the coveted title of “PRESS” in the media world. Never have I ever thought I would be able to go to such a prestigious industry event like E3. I’ve always watched coverage of the awesomeness that is E3 on G4TV, but now I will be able to cover it myself! Continue reading

Matthew Broderick Channels Ferris Bueller for Super Bowl Commercial

Matthew Broderick Honda Ferris Bueller

It’s not every day you see actors reprising their roles of past characters from their movies. When Honda was pitching ideas to promote their new CRV model, some how Ferris Bueller’s Day Offcame to mind. I’m not exactly sure how the two relate, but film director Todd Phillips was able to pull it off. But not everyone was pleased, many fans of the classic 80s film are very upset. Continue reading

2011: A Year Of Entertainment In Review

Movie Theater Popcorn

What a year in entertainment it was! Not only was it a record breaking year for movies – 27 sequels were released in 2011  – but there has been a lot of crazy happenings in television as well. We got some great popcorn flicks – Tranformers: Dark of the Moon, X-Men: First Class, and Rise of the Planet of the Apeswe saw the final Harry Potter film, Breaking Bad season four was nucking futs, Community was put on hiatus til Spring of 2012, and we were introduced to American Horror Story.

I myself sat down to partake in the viewing of a lot of entertainment this year, but not as much as I would have liked. Again, I had tried to fulfill a year of more films to knock off my shame-list, but sadly I was overtaken with more real-world priorities and a very inconsistent work schedule. How much media did I watch this year that I have never seen before? I kept track, so take a look! Continue reading

‘The Hunger Games’ Arena One-Sheet Poster

The Hunger Games One Sheet

Apparently I haven’t been paying too much attention to the marketing for The Hunger Games otherwise I would have known there was a viral marketing campaign to unveil the latest poster. One hundred websites were given 100 pieces to a puzzle that would reveal the newest one-sheet for The Hunger Games. All the pieces have been put together and the newest poster sets a tone of things to come. Continue reading

‘American Reunion’ Poster Pays Tribute To The Original ‘American Pie’ Poster

American Reunion Title

I’ve said it before AND I’LL SAY IT AGAIN, American Pie is one of my most favorite of all teen, coming of age, raunchy comedies. LOVE IT. A new poster for American Reunion has recently been released and it pays homage to the first American Pie movie poster. In my mind, this poster solidifies that this movie will be awesome – hopefully I’m not setting the bar too high. Check out the posters after the break. Continue reading

Celebrate Halloween With a ‘Trick ‘r Treat’ 24-Hour Marathon on FEARnet

Trick 'r Treat Sam

Breaking through the static of mainstream horror of all its splatterore porn and “found footage” films is a tough business to be had. One man dared to dream, Michael Dougherty. Today, October 31, 2012, FEARnet brings you a 24-hour marathon of his film Trick ‘r Treat, which I can honestly say is one of the best horror films of the modern era. Continue reading

Expect DreamWorks’ Films On Netflix in 2013

Dreamworks Logo

After increasing their prices and failing to reacquire a new contract with Starz, Netflix seemed a little down in the dumps and was losing subscribers faster than those who still read a newspaper. With help from DreamWorks, it looks like the company may be back on track to getting some better streaming options for those still interested in sticking around with the service post 2012. Continue reading

The Cast of ‘The Princess Bride’ Reunite

The Princess Bride Inconceivable

The time that has passed since the release of the infamous adaptation of William Goldman’s fantasy novel, The Princess Bride, is quite inconceivable. (At least I think so…) I was no more than seven-months old when Westley (played by Cary Elwes) sought out his true love, Buttercup (Robin Wright) from the evil clutches of Vizzini (Wallace Shawn) and then Prince Humperdink (Chris Sarandon) with the help of Fezzik (André the Giant) and Inigo Montoya (Mandy Pantinkin)

But enough with the nostalgia, Entertainment Weekly was fortunate enough to gather the surviving cast from The Princess Bride for their reunion issue that came out earlier this month. After the jump check out the cast photo of The Princess Bride almost 25-years later shot by Art Streiber.
