Armond White vs The World

If you don’t know who Armond White is, good, but if you read on, you’ll soon find out that he is probably one of the most hated film critics of all time. Out of all of the reviews from Toy Story 3, Armond White, the known critic for the New York Press, was the only professional critic to single-handedly give it a rotten review. He states, “Toy Story 3 is so besotted with brand names and product-placement that it stops being about the innocent pleasures of imagination — the usefulness of toys — and strictly celebrates consumerism.” Find out what Mr. White’s opinions are on some of the best and worst reviewed films of recent years after the break!

Nerdtastic Easter Eggs You May Have Missed

Of course some people may have always known that within Seinfeld there is a reference to Superman in every episode or that classic Disney animated features have secret sexual subliminal messages. But did thanks to Super Booyah, they have compiled a pretty awesome list of amazing Easter eggs that even you may have missed. Check out some great little movie/TV secrets after the break!

Young Adult Teaser Poster

Let’s face it, anything Jason Reitman touches turns to gold. With Up In the Air, Juno, and Thank You For Smoking under his directorial belt, Reitman has quite the track record to practically surpass his old man, Ivan Reitman (Ghostbusters, Stripes, Twins, Kindergarten Cop). Even with Diablo Cody’s screenplay, I think Reitman has the experience to keep the over-the-top dialogue in check; Jennifer’s Body anyone? Check out the first teaser poster and plot synopsis of Young Adult after the jump!

TeeHee: Harry Potter Rap Battles and More Funny Videos

I’ve got a collection of some great Harry Potter videos I’ve stored up because I’ve been way too lazy to write about and post them. I’ve got everything you need for a post HP fix now that you’ve probably seen the movie 18 times. Voldemort shows his softer side, Harry Potter ends differently, a Rebecca Black parody, a wizard rap battle between Gandalf and Dumbledore, and the final farewells from the cast, crew, and J.K. Rowling.

Check out all of these amazing videos after the jump!

Blade Runner Inspired Batman Trilogy Posters

Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy is coming to an end July 20, 2012, and a very talented fan, DeviantArtist Alexander Stojanov, created three posters of each of the Batman saga inspired by the Blade Runner posters drawn by Drew Struzan. Now the poster above may seem awfully familiar to you and it has nothing to do with Blade Runner; I’ll show you why and the other two brilliant posters after the break!

TeeHee: How To Get The Girl…According to Movies

So you’re lonely, desperate, and in need of that special someone. According to film, there are plenty of offbeat ways to win the girl of your dreams. If you successfully duplicate the efforts of these men from film you’re bound to get the girl one way or another, right?

Duck Tron

Anytime there is a film reference that is blatantly apparent and nerdy in advertising I am all ears and eyesballs. Ryactive, a creative agency from San Fransisco, have created a great ad selling Duck Tape which pays tribute to the 1982 film Tron.

Now I have no idea how this has slipped past any other creatives minds, but I believe this is an amazing concept. It also helps when there is a surprise cameo at the end (you don’t have to think about it too hard to guess who it is). Check out the full ad after the jump to behold the awesomeness!

Potassium Overload! (Slightly NSFW)

I cannot really explain to you what this short film, “Banana Motherfucker,” is all about without ruining the surprise. So you’ll just have to see for yourself and enjoy this little splendor after the jump! This is only NSFW because of some excessive violence. If you’re boss is OK with than that party on!

TeeHee: Cuddle Club

How much can you know about yourself if you haven’t cuddled? Fight Club parodies have probably been done to death (Example 1; Example 2&3) and I, myself, find the movie a bit overrated; as great as the movie is, walk through a freshman dorm and you’ll find a poster of Fight Club in at least 1 out of every 10 rooms of your typical American male college student.

Cuddle Club, written, produced, and starring Noah Baron and Ross Willett, takes the concept of Fight Club and pulls a complete 180°. It’s a fun concept, but it isn’t anything spectacular. I do give him credit for a complete shot-for-shot remake of the original trailer for Fight Club. Check out Cuddle Club after the break!

TeeHee: 5 Second Films: “The Final Battle”

I love 5 Second Films because not only are they creatively ingenious they are also amazingly simple fun that just reeks of awesomesauce. Patton Oswalt recently joined the team of filmmakers to embark on a wizarding journey.

There’s a little surprise twist at the end, like many of their work, that is a tad on the offensive side perhaps? It will make you laugh, but it will also make you feel dirty for enjoying it, in my opinion. Take a gander at the video after the break!
