A great disturbance was felt in the secondhand gaming community, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. At the Consumer Electronics Show this past week, Sony announced plans to launch a new streaming game service entitled PlayStation Now, which will be powered by their recently acquired cloud-based technology company Gaikai. The 66th Annual Directors Guild of America Awards nominees were announced yesterday with Gravity, Captain Phillips, 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle, and The Wolf of Wall Street each earning recognition. The DGA Awards are usually sought at as one of the biggest indicators of Oscar. Winners will be announced January 25.
