Comic-Con 2012: Preview Night Schedule

Comic Con 2012 Preview Night

Tis the night before the night before Comic-Con 2012. There has already been one tragic death of a Twihard, and let’s hope we won’t see any instances that escalate to that level of madness. (We all remember the pen stabbing of 2010.) But I digress. Festivities begin tomorrow night with sneak peaks of the convention before the big show. Preview night can get a bit crazy, and there are a few TV pilots that will air screenings as a special treat.  Continue reading

‘Fun Size’ Shows Big Potential in New Trailer

Fun Size Movie Trailer

You don’t see too many smash hit, teen comedies these days. Aside from Mean Girls, it’s tough aiming for a younger audience while riding on the fence between teen and adult comedy. It has to be relevant enough for the younger audience, but raunchy and funny enough to keep the attention of older audiences. (John Hughes was able to maintain this balance perfectly.) After watching the trailer for Fun Size, I believe we may have something here that will delight most audiences. Continue reading

‘Community’ is Back for Round 4! But at What Cost?

Community Season 4

With last year’s mid-season hiatus, many fans feared the worst. Left without a glimmer of hope, fellow Human Beings were in their dark whether their beloved Community would even come back on the air. Luckily, NBC did the right thing and finished the third season strong, but again left the future wide open to speculation of the show’s return.

Keeping audiences on the edge of their seat, NBC recently announced that we’d be getting a fourth season of Community, fully equipped with 13-episodes. Unfortunately the show has been bumped from Thursday to Friday night – which many in the entertainment industry declare is a series suicide – but hopefully with its fan-base, Community will be able to survive. But who would be returning, and who has been let go?  Continue reading

The Best and Worst Films of 2011

The Best and Worst Movies of 2011

OK, now I know this is a LONNNNNNNNNNNNNG time coming, but I finally have gotten the stamina and motivation to complete these lists. I may be seven months late, but you know what, there’s always movies someone hasn’t seen and they are always looking for a fresh perspective. (Heck, The Artist just released to home video a week or so ago.) Some of these being hardly a year old I figure there’s still no expiration date for reviews! I still thoroughly enjoyed the movies on my “best of list.” It may be a bit more unconventional than your average film junky’s, but I think this is quite the list none-the-less.  Continue reading

San Diego Comic-Con 2012

Reality is setting in. I’m going to Comic-Con 2012. This year it will be from Thursday, July 12 through Sunday, July 15. After the exhausting, yet exciting, adventures I had at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in LA last month, I can’t even imagine how chaotic and stimulating Comic-Con will be. Continue reading

First Impressions of Nintendo’s Wii U

Nintendo Wii U First Impressions

Now that I’ve had time to recover after an exhausting field trip to the 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo, I wanted to put in my two-cents about Nintendo’s Wii U. The revered gaming conglomerate has always been known to revolutionize the industry, but has the industry reached a peak? Could the Nintendo Wii U just be a fancy gimmick? Continue reading
