Last night’s 86th Annual Academy Awards, held inside the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, brought together the biggest names in cinema for the glitziest night of the year. While the excitement inside was placed on who would win Ocsar gold, all eyes were focused on the stars dressed to the nines on the red carpet prior to the big show. Last time we saw the god of thunder in his own standalone picture was back in 2011. And despite the Thor universe being less grounded in reality than any superhero movie we’ve seen before, Marvel Studios stood their ground, took a chance on the character, and raked in a respectable $449.3 million worldwide at the box office. And Marvel hopes to see the character continue to grow in Thor: The Dark World. Making their way on stage during Marvel Studio’s presentation at D23 Expo this morning, stars Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, and Anthony Hopkins made themselves available to present a clip from Thor: The Dark World. What was shown, that hasn’t made its way online yet, depicts the first meeting of Jane Foster and Odin, protector of the Nine Realms.
