And on the last day, Stan Lee said, “Let thy rest.” After three full days of rubbing elbows with sweaty Hobbits, listening to unproportioned Batman’s growl, and seeing more slave Leia’s than Jabba’s sail barge, Sunday during Comic-Con is a day of re-cooperation.  There aren’t any really big names appearing on Sunday other than BBC’s Doctor Who, FX’s Sons of Anarchy, and an overview of the 15-year history of Harry Potter. Comic-Con 2012 Saturday Schedule

Today is a big day in film for Comic-Con 2012, bigger than Thursday and even bigger than Friday. Saturday hosts panels for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, Iron Man 3, Django Unchained, and Man of Steel. There basically wouldn’t be any other reason to go to Comic-Con than this day. Here we are. The Big Kahuna. It will begin on this day, Thursday, July 12. With Preview Night offering a taste of the con, the real deal is here. Could the Mayans be right? 2011: A Year Of Entertainment In Review

Movie Theater Popcorn

What a year in entertainment it was! Not only was it a record breaking year for movies – 27 sequels were released in 2011  – but there has been a lot of crazy happenings in television as well. We got some great popcorn flicks – Tranformers: Dark of the Moon, X-Men: First Class, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes – we saw the final Harry Potter film, Breaking Bad season four was nucking futs, Community was put on hiatus til Spring of 2012, and we were introduced to American Horror Story.

I myself sat down to partake in the viewing of a lot of entertainment this year, but not as much as I would have liked. Again, I had tried to fulfill a year of more films to knock off my shame-list, but sadly I was overtaken with more real-world priorities and a very inconsistent work schedule. Saturday’s Schedule for The San Diego Comic-Con 2011

If you ever wanted to let your geek flag fly high and proud than Saturday is your day! On Satruday, the San Diego Comic-Con will house a full array of anything you could ever ask for in a convention. From discussions on the future of comics to the inspirational words of Joss Whedon, this day is your day. You can learn how to draw in one room and learn about the future of Avatar: The Legend of Korra in another. Panels will discus videogames, anime, manga, steampunk, and so much more. I’m still really really pissed I wasn’t able to get a badge for this thing.

The ever so infamous Hall H will be graced by the presence of FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA as he presents his panel on his new film TWIXT! How ridiculous is that?! Unfortunately the bigger guns like The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, and Superman: Man of Steel are not making a big presence, if any, at the con, but you will be getting previews of Snow White and the Huntsmen, Dorothy of Oz, Knights of Badassdom, and Immortals. Even Kevin Smith will be in Hall H.

Your 2011 Comic-Con Schedule for Friday

Thankfully there will be no Rebecca Black this Friday (she’s still cool to make fun of these days right?) Anyways… this Friday schedule is a bit more exciting than Thursday will be. I think one of the biggest panels this day will be for Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-man. It’s been almost 5 years since we’ve last seen the infamous web-slinger and with Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone at the panel it should be a good show. A lot of other smaller films will be in the line-up too, including 30 Minutes or Less, Underworld 4, Fright Night, and Ghost Rider 2. Read Each Harry Potter Book As An Awesome Comic Strip

I find it always fascinating when someone takes a piece of film, literature, television or a videogame and turn them into art. Ms. Lucy Knisely was artistically brilliant enough to take on the entire Harry Potter literature. She transformed every book into a giant comic strip for a poster that you can view on her LiveJournal. If you think she has made a masterpiece than by all means donate to her art. Comic-Con Wednesday and Thursday Schedule Announced!

Today, Comic-Con revealed their Wednesday night and all day Thursday line-up. Check out the full schedule on their official site! Thursday will be a big Twilight day as their panel will overrun Hall H with many many Twihards. The 20th Century Fox panel will also be on Thursday. The coolest thing that stands out on the preview night on Wednesday is that of J.J. Abram’s new show Alcatraz. Thursday also is bringing back the Comic-Con Film School. So as stated before, check out the Wednesday Preview Night and Thursday schedule on their official site.

Marvel Dinosaur Superheroes
