D23 Expo 2013 ‘Big Hero 6′ Characters Revealed by Disney Animation Studios

With Disney’s Frozen coming out later this winter, animation fans are already buzzing about the studio’s next feature film. A Marvel/Disney hybrid, Big Hero 6 is the first collaborative adaptation between the two houses. Directed by Don Hall (2011’s Winnie the Pooh), the movie follows the story of a 14-year-old boy genius named Hiro who lives in the futuristic city of San Fransokyo. D23 Expo Zootoia Concept Art Revealed

And on the first day, Walt Disney Animation Studios brought D23 Expo guests a first look at many of its upcoming titles, including Zootopia. Slated for a 2016 release, the film is described as a “buddy action comedy set in a world where humans never existed.” Tangled director Byron Howard is set to direct the movie from a script written by Jared Bush (NBC’s Who Wants to Marry My Dad?; The CW’s All of Us).
