Gathering at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel fans converged to bring together some of pop culture’s most beloved characters. Actor Tom Hiddleston is no stranger to wooing his fans into submission. In just a matter of minutes of browsing through Tumblr you’ll find an army of loyal Hiddlestonians pawing at his every movement. It’s a rather interesting fandom that has been created. And sure enough, Loki himself did not disappoint when he appeared at D23 Expo to promote The Pirate Fairy, yet another title in the incredibly popular Tinkerbell series. With all of the hustle and bustle of Comic-Con 2013 during the day, don’t expect the festivities to die down just because the convention hall is closed at night. No, the streets of the San Diego Gaslamp district runs rampant with celebrities and attendees looking for a good times in all the right places. Now most industry parties are guest list only, but if you’re lucky enough to snag entry through a contest, are a smooth talker, or you know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy, then you’ve just bought yourself the hottest ticket in town. As they say, all good things must come to an end. Sunday has finally reached Comic-Con 2013, and what a Comic-Con it was. From news on a Batman vs. Superman movie to the reveal of Avengers: Age of Ultron, there was not a geek or nerd that did not have to change their underwear at least once this long weekend. Sunday for TTRC at SDCC was all about catching up on all of the booths on the convention floor. Promptly at 6:30 pm PST in San Diego, CA a zombie outbreak occurred. The 7th Annual SDCC Zombie Walk hit downtown Gaslamp in a fury of blood and guts. Seeing the undead flood the streets of a major metropolitan area was a sight to behold in the midst of Comic-Con 2013. After having a joyful time through Legendary Pictures’ Godzilla Experience, a stroll through Summit Entertainment’s Ender’s Game Fan Experience felt like the right thing to do before Comic-Con ended. HGTV partnered with Summit to create this SDCC exclusive experience, which showcased an interpretation of the Wiggins home living room, along with other specially constructed, unique rooms to recreate environments from the film itself. Since I’ve only had the chance to see half of what there is outside of the convention center and just a fraction of the SDCC showroom floor, today I had my work cut out for me. Zachary Levi’s Nerd HQ and The Jackdaw were high on my list today, along with chipping away more of what there is to see inside. It was a fairly bountiful day at Comic-Con 2013. After a full day of panels behind me, I felt it best to explore the bounty of activities outside the San Diego convention center during Comic-Con 2013. This year, it seems as though there is twice as much to do than there was last year. It was a fun filled day full of video games, LEGOs, Comedy Central, and the SDCC Interactive Zone. If you happened to be outside the San Diego Convention Center near PETCO Park this weekend you may have noticed a building that looked like it was attacked by a monster. Thanks in part by Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros., the king of monsters, Godzilla himself is coming back on to the big screen in May of 2014. What Legendary and Warner Bros. brought to Comic-Con 2013 this year was an experience far more extravagant then a teaser clip like last year, they brought fans to Japan to see the beast up close and personal.
