From Attack on Titan flash mobs to wild Daleks running around the Anaheim Convention Center, cosplayers were out in full force at this year’s WonderCon. Saturday was definitely the busiest day of the con, perfect for cosplay connoisseurs to strut their stuff. Comic-Con may be the mecca for cosplayers to showoff their creativity, but don’t count out WonderCon. Marvel Studios Confirms Black Panther, Avengers 3, Captain Marvel, Civil War, and Much More
Marvel Studios put on a little show and dance number earlier today in Los Angeles at the El Capitan theater where they revealed their plans for Phase 3 of their Cinematic Universe. Along with Ant-Man, which is in production now, Marvel has confirmed Captain America 3, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Thor 3, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Inhumans, and a two-part Avengers 3 conclusion. Movie Review: ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ is a Thrilling Sequel that Raises the Bar for Marvel
It’s incredible to believe that the Marvel Cinematic Universe launched six years ago with Iron Man and that they are now on their ninth entry, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Aside from Harry Potter at Warner Bros. (eight films; $7.72 billion worldwide box office) and James Bond (25 films; $6.15 billion worldwide box office), no other franchise can even amount to the success of the MCU ($5.66 worldwide box office); it could take the throne this year. What Marvel Entertainment has done will go down in history as the most ambitious Hollywood gamble of all time. As they say, all good things must come to an end. Sunday has finally reached Comic-Con 2013, and what a Comic-Con it was.
